Title: adding images to source folders
Post by: DrG on March 06, 2018, 02:39:30 AM
When images are added to a source folder, how should they then be imported into Observatory?

I have tried re-importing the entire folder, or importing only the new images.  In either case I seem to end up breaking something.  The new images appear when I click All, but they do not appear when I click Other.  I could previously use "Other" to select images with INSTRUME = 'Finder  '.  This no longer seems to work.

Just in passing...  what happens when I delete an image from a source folder at the OS level?

The buttons in the Browser Bar filter image by their Image Type. Please check the "type" field in the Image Version Inspector for these images. The "Using the Browser" and "The Image Version Inspector" sections of the documentation explain this further.

When you delete an image from a source folder at the OS level (e.g. move to Trash and empty the Trash in Finder), Observatory will detect that and display a red "missing master" badge icon for the image.
